Editorial draft · Not approved terms

Your family’s information deserves care, too.

This is a proposal for legal and operational review, not an agreement governing an operating service. No acceptance or payment is collected. Final operator details, policies and the care relationship must be approved before launch.

Information we collect. Account and contact details; approximate location and confirmed service address; children’s ages and necessary care instructions supplied by an authorised adult; requests and booking messages; payments and transaction records; reviews; support reports; sitter applications, qualification and screening records; limited device, security and consent logs. Children do not create accounts. We do not ask for children’s photos or full dates of birth in the request form.

Why we use it. To check coverage, match requests with eligible sitters, confirm and support visits, operate payments, assess sitter applications, prevent misuse, resolve complaints and meet legal obligations. Optional marketing and optional analytics are separate purposes and choices.

Who can see it. Eligible responding sitters receive only the request information needed to assess a fit. Only the confirmed sitter and authorised staff receive the full service address and necessary private care notes. Payment, hosting, messaging and screening providers receive information needed for their contracted work. We may disclose information where legally required or permitted to address a serious emergency. Public reviews must not identify children or reveal home addresses.

Payments. Card details are collected by the approved payment provider’s secure interface. The platform should retain tokens and limited transaction information, not raw card numbers. Publish the provider’s identity and privacy link once selected.

NannyServices.ca. An external link does not transfer your account or care notes. Any future account linking or additional data sharing will be explained and require an appropriate lawful basis and consent where required.

Screening records. Applicants receive a specific screening notice and consent request. Public profiles show appropriate verification status, not identity documents, immigration records or full background reports. Access to sensitive screening results is restricted.

Your choices. Contact the privacy contact to request access, correction, withdrawal of optional consent, or account deletion. We explain any lawful limits and information that must be retained. Unsubscribing from marketing does not stop necessary booking or security messages. We verify identity proportionately without collecting unnecessary new sensitive data.

Safeguards and incidents. We use access controls and other safeguards appropriate to the information. No system is completely secure. We assess suspected incidents and make notifications and records required by applicable law.

Complaints and updates. Contact our privacy contact first or the appropriate privacy regulator. Material changes are explained; new optional purposes are not silently enabled.
